In the 2022 address to the University Senate, President Holloway addressed the need for the Rutgers community to “think creatively and with intention about how we clarify our presence in the online space, and in doing so, better serve our students,” by announcing the creation of a universitywide council that will be responsible for advancing this work.
The new Council on Online Education will contribute to improving all aspects of the online education experience throughout the student lifecycle by advising on universitywide policies, practices, expectations, and investments.
Convened and charged by the Executive Vice President Moghe in November 2022, the Council will:
The council includes members by nomination from the chancellor-led units and the University Senate, and ex-officio members from the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Office of Information Technology.
