  • Ally: Helps instructors identify and fix accessibility issues in course content while providing students with alternative formats like audio, braille, or tagged PDFs to support diverse learning needs.
  • Canvas Accessibility CheckerA built-in tool in Canvas's Rich Content Editor that helps instructors identify and fix common accessibility issues like missing alt text, improper heading structures, and insufficient color contrast.
  • Kaltura Reach: When a video is uploaded through Canvas, captions are generated using automatic speech recognition. This service provides 70–95% accuracy. Video owners will need to review and edit their captions to increase accuracy. 
  • SensusAccessThis self-service tool, integrated into Rutgers Canvas, allows students and instructors to convert course materials into accessible formats like audio, braille, or e-books, enhancing accessibility and supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Tidy UpCidiLabs TidyUp is a Canvas-integrated tool that helps instructors identify and remove unused files, pages, and empty folders to streamline course content and improve organization.
