The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), is a voluntary peer-based, non-profit membership organization that performs peer evaluation and accreditation of public and private universities and colleges in the United States and foreign education institutions.

Involvement in an ongoing accreditation protocol recognizes achievement and fosters and facilitates ongoing school improvement. Accreditation: Provides a systematic process that requires a school to justify its existence, establish a vision of its future, and determine specific objectives to realize that vision.

The reaccreditation process currently takes place every 9 years (following the 2026-2027 academic year, the cycle is every eight years) and involves two stages of evaluation: a campus-wide Self-Study and an on-site evaluation by a team of peer experts from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
