Wolf Prize

Rutgers has been invited to submit one or more candidates for the 2020 Wolf Prize in the Sciences and Arts. Award winners are selected by international awards committees of three members, all of whom are scholars and experts in their fields. 

In the Sciences, a candidate can be nominated for only one of the following four fields:

  • Agriculture 
  • Physics 
  • Mathematics 
  • Medicine 

In the Arts, the Prize will be awarded in the fields of:

  • Painting 
  • Sculpture

Two or more candidates can be nominated to receive the Prize jointly. Each candidate must have had a distinguished international career. Those selected will receive financial support of $100,000. In the event of two or more recipients sharing one prize, the honorarium will be equally divided among them.
