Ryan Weightman
Project (Working) Title: Mathematical Tools for predicting the State of New Jersey's Future Power Landscape
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Benedetto Piccoli
Ryan is a returning Wind Institute OSW Fellowship Program. He is PhD candidate in the Center for Computation and Integrative Biology at Rutgers University–Camden. He earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in pure mathematics from Rutgers. Additionally, he holds a Teaching Certification and has served as a part-time lecturer since 2019, a course developer, and teaching assistant at the college/university level. He also has experience working as a high school substitute teacher.
Ryan has been named author or co-author on 11 peer-reviewed publications. He is interested in applying mathematical methods to real world problems in order to better understand systems and optimize decision making.
