Fulbright Programs at Rutgers for Students

Who is Eligible to Be a Fulbright Student?

Fulbright students are U.S. citizens enrolled in graduate programs or holding at least a bachelor's degree by the start of the grant. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers opportunities for recent graduates, master's, and doctoral candidates, as well as young professionals with fewer than seven years of experience to study, conduct research, or teach English abroad. The program does not require a Ph.D., and its awards span various academic disciplines and creative fields.

Inbound Programs

Inbound Fulbright students are international students who come to the U.S. to pursue graduate-level education, conduct research, or teach foreign languages under the Fulbright Foreign Student Program. These students are typically enrolled in master's or doctoral programs at U.S. institutions, or they conduct research related to their degree from their home country.
