Katharina Dowlin
Project (Working) Title: A Mathematical Model for the Optimal Design and Integration of a Wind Farm
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Mariya Naumova
Katharina is a senior in the Honors College at Rutgers University-New Brunswick double majoring in Mathematics and Statistics while double minoring in Computer Science and German with a concentration in history and literature. She is a member of the NCAA Division 1 Rutgers Women's Rowing Team, and was a big Ten Silver Medalist in 2023.
She has extensive internship and tutoring experience working as an athletic tutor for Rutgers University Athletics, a mathematics grader for the School of Arts and Sciences' (SAS) Mathematics Department, an ATD intern for the SAS' Statistics Department, and a finance intern for Casaforte Investimentos in Recife, Brazil, and AT
She is a member of the Active Allyship for Social and Racial Justice Changemaking Community and has served as Executive Chair for the Honors College Speaks student club
She is interested in applying her skills to solving optimization problems with wind data and hope it will help her in her future career.
