Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice (ISGRJ) Newsletter
September 26, 2022
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I share with you all a link to the first edition of a newsletter from the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice (ISGRJ). This Presidential initiative, funded by the Mellon Foundation with one of the largest Humanities research awards Rutgers has ever received, is administratively anchored in the office of the EVPAA, and aims to highlight and amplify the work of scholars on racial justice at all stops along the intellectual corridor that constitutes One Rutgers.
We hope you find the newsletter to be informative and stimulating as it chronicles and reflects on the Institute's signature projects, initiatives, programs, faculty, and fellows. The institute was conceived merely two years ago; its first year of careful planning coinciding with the pandemic, the institute now is embedded across the creative span of the institution and buzzing with a wide array of scholarship and outreach.
Congratulations to all of the faculty leaders and staff on the ISGRJ team for helping to bring together this rich programming and extraordinary collection of scholars. We welcome you all to continue to engage with the institute and help to elevate and realize its aspirations.
Sincerely,
Prabhas V. Moghe, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
Distinguished Professor
