Better Data, Better Discovery: Training in FAIR, CARE, and -Omics - PD3 Monthly Meeting
In the age of preliminary data requirements and the shift from animal models to computational approaches, large data consortiums are shaping the future of science. This workshop will show you how to make your data more usable, reproducible, and collaborative; and how you can benefit from reusing data already out there.
Whether you work on microbiomes or any related field, this is your chance to learn practical skills that will strengthen your next project (and maybe your next grant!). Join us for a hands-on introduction to the National Microbiome Data Collaborative (NMDC), a growing hub for making -omics data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR), while also respecting Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics (CARE).
The session will be led by Dr. Liisa Veerus, 2025 NMDC Ambassador.
Tuesday November 18 from 12-1:30pm.
IN PERSON 675 Hoes Lane West, RWJMS Research Tower Deans Conference Room 123, Busch Campus.
Lunch will be served at 12pm, and the workshop will begin promptly at 12.30pm. Please bring your laptop to participate fully in the hands-on exercises.
