Oluwanifemi (Nifemi) Kayode-Alese
Project (Working) Title: An Investigation of Ocean Mixing by Offshore Wind Turbines

Oluwanifemi (Nifemi), from Nigeria, Africa, is a junior in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. At Rutgers, she has held multiple positions including serving as a Learning Assistant for the Computer Science Department, a Math Tutor and Summer Resident Assistant for the Rutgers Summer EOF Program, a Community Service Officer for the Rutgers University Police Department, and an International Orientation Leader.
Nifemi has technical language skills in Java, C, R, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS. She holds certifications in Capacity Development and Skills Enhancement Initiative (CDSEI) Web Development and Marketing, Tech4dev's Women Techsters Bootcamp Data Science Bootcamp Cohort 2.0, CPR/AED. She speaks Yoruba, Korean, French, and English.
She is interested in prediction models, machine learning, etc., and their application in wind turbines and oceanography. Additionally, she is eager to learn more about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in relation to aquatic environments.
