Mock Job and Chalk Talks by Rutgers Postdocs
This is your chance to hear your fellow postdocs present their research and learn about the faculty job application process.
Dr. Benton Purnell will deliver talks on “Driving Inspiration: Identifying Mechanisms and Therapies for Respiratory Arrest in Disparate Diseases” on
Jan 13 from 3-5pm (research talk) in RWJMS Research Tower Room V14
Jan 28 from 11am-1pm (chalk talk) in RWJMS Research Tower Room V10
Both sessions will be attended by Rutgers faculty volunteers serving as a mock hiring committee, providing constructive feedback from the perspective of an actual search panel.
Refreshments will be provided.
If you are a postdoc planning to enter the academic job market and are interested in practicing your chalk talk in this format, please contact:
Dr. Liisa Veerus (lv273@cabm.rutgers.edu) and Dr. Janet Alder (janet.alder@rutgers.edu).
