Join the Big10+ Postdoc Office Network’s next research development event, which will be focused on best practices and tips for trainees who have interest in submitting grant proposals to Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies (e.g., National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and others).

This session will cover:

  • The fundamentals of successfully competing for HHS agency funding as an early-career investigator.
  • Practical strategies for crafting compelling Specific Aims that capture the attention of reviewers.
  • Approaches for integrating research objectives and training plans to advance scientists toward research independence.

This workshop will be presented by Dr. Lauren Aleksunes, professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Rutgers University, who is also a grant writing coach supporting early career scientists in their journal to extramural funding.
