Biography
Cheryl Wisnack serves as senior director of finance and administration at Rutgers University. Reporting to the associate vice president for administration, Wisnack provides strategic financial advisement, management, and support, overseeing and managing the financial operations and related administrative functions for the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA). She plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and operational efficiency of the division, while also supporting strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Wisnack began her career at Rutgers more than 44 years ago in the environmental sciences department at Cook campus, now known as the School for Environmental and Biological Sciences. For 16 years, she served as the department administrator, demonstrating exceptional organizational and managerial skills that significantly contributed to the department's success. In 1996, Wisnack transitioned to the School of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office as a budget manager, responsible for budget planning and financial management, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and supporting the school's academic mission. In 2004, she joined the office of the EVPAA. Through her dedication, financial expertise, and commitment to excellence, she steadily advanced through the ranks, ultimately achieving her current position.
Throughout her years at Rutgers, Wisnack has made significant contributions by serving on various university central committees, including the Cost Pool Advisory Committee, the Central Advisory Group, the Chart of Accounts Advisory Committee, and the University Human Resources (UHR) Advisory Committee. Her participation in these committees underscores her collaborative approach and dedication to enhancing universitywide financial and administrative processes.
