Transcultural NJ Revisited: Artists Creating Alternative Narratives and Reframing Diversity within Local/Global Communities

Transcultural NJ Revisited: Artists Creating Alternative Narratives and Reframing Diversity within Local/Global Communities, is a two-year statewide arts and cultural initiative led by a consortium of museums, galleries, libraries and non-for profit community organizations in partnership with Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.  We aspire to research, promote, discussion and reflect the visual cultural production created by underrepresented artists and diverse immigrant communities.

The mission of the initiative is:

To explore, promote, and document the creative production of underrepresented artists and local/global communities that are fostering innovation and shaping arts and culture in New Jersey.
