Rutgers Law School Dean Search: Community Update #2

Dear University Colleagues:

Earlier this summer, President Holloway announced that we are initiating the search for the next Dean of the Rutgers Law School (RLS). Please view our first message for information about our previous work.

In consultation with the search co-chairs, we have invited the following colleagues to serve on the search committee. The committee’s membership, which draws upon the diversity of our legal disciplines and campuses, is as follows:

The search committee will engage in additional outreach in partnership with our search firm, WittKieffer, to ensure that community feedback informs the process. This engagement will begin with a series of online listening sessions with faculty, staff, students and alumni. Please visit our search website to view session information and RSVP via RLSdeansearch@rutgers.edu. If you are unable to attend a listening session, we welcome your feedback through our online survey. We will use the feedback from the sessions and survey to develop a leadership prospectus and guide our work in identifying a thoughtful and dynamic individual to lead the Law School.

Through this process, we will aim to identify a leader who will improve the lived experience of staff, faculty, and students; who can amplify the aspirations of the two locations; and who will work with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to share the many strengths and accomplishments of the Rutgers Law School.
