Diversity and Inclusion Symposium

March 1, 2017

Members of the Rutgers Community:

I am pleased to invite you to Rutgers' annual symposium, “Scholarship, Research, and Best Practices in Diversity & Inclusion:  Current Findings and Emerging Issues.”  The objective of the symposium is to provide a venue for researchers to present findings of studies and increase awareness of new approaches in research, emerging methods, and innovative strategies in diversity and inclusion.  The symposium provides an important vehicle for the exchange of ideas and highlights the scholarly research of our faculty, graduate students, and associates from all campus locations.

We are honored to have as keynote speaker Juan D. González, the newly appointed Rutgers Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Communication & Information.  He is an award-winning journalist, author, and co-host of Democracy Now!, a syndicated radio and television progressive news program.

The symposium will be held on Friday, March 31st from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary, 35 Seminary Place, New Brunswick.  The program is open to all Rutgers faculty and advanced graduate students.  Seating is limited, so please register early.  This event will be available via Livestream.  A direct link will be available at http://academicaffairs.rutgers.edu/symposium.

Please RSVP by March 17th, or visit http://academicaffairs.rutgers.edu/RSVP
