Rutgers Office for Faculty Development, in collaboration with the Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research (CTAAR), offered a number of strategy sessions for faculty members to address the core challenges this fall center around Assessments, Student Engagement and Technology.  We've curated an extensive list of tips and best practices that we hope will help make your semester a success.

VIRTUAL SUMMER OFFERINGS:

VIRTUAL WRITE-ON-SITES:

We are hosting a series of 2-hour Webex sessions of writing in the company of other faculty. No sign-up needed. Simply log-in and get to work! (No video required unless you want to). Copy this link to your calendar for all/any sessions:  Faculty Development webex room

Mondays:   9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Wednesdays: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Thursdays:   10:00 AM– 12:00 PM

COFFEE POT CONVERSATIONS:

Join faculty colleagues for conversations that previously happened around the coffee pot.  Share tips and get support on topics such as: dealing with academic life amidst uncertainty, parenting during COVID-19, creating realistic goals and structure during this COVID-19 time.  No sign-up needed. All sessions will be Tuesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 pm. 

PARENTING RESOURCE:

Some of your Rutgers colleagues have collaborated to create Behavior Bosses, a resource webpage that offers many helpful tips, videos, Facebook chats and patience meditations to help during COVID-19.
