Call for Proposals - 2015–2016 Community-University Research Partnership Grants for New Brunswick

January 28, 2015

Members of the Rutgers Community:

As part of the commitment to strengthen Rutgers’ ties to the New Brunswick community, we are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2015–2016 Community-University Research Partnership Grants for New Brunswick. These grants were created to encourage the use of the Best Practices of University and Community Research Partnerships and to foster local research connections. Previously awarded grants addressed a wide range of issues facing New Brunswick residents and yielded positive scholarly and practical results.

Grants of up to $25,000 will provide funds to build new research collaborations on important community issues. Applications should align with key integrating themes identified in both the universitywide and New Brunswick strategic plans by addressing one or more of the following topics: public health, safety and wellness; cultures and diversity; sustainability and innovation; and citizenship, leadership and youth development.

The application deadline is March 6, 2015. Awards will be announced by June 1, 2015 and work can commence July 1.

For questions, contact Melissa Selesky, Director of Rutgers–New Brunswick Community Relations in the Office of Community Affairs. Melissa can be reached at mselesky@ucm.rutgers.edu or at 848-932-0598.
